Lincoln Park is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey, situated in the easternmost corner of the county, where it borders both Essex and Passaic counties along the Passaic and Pompton rivers. The area was settled in the eighteenth century as part of the larger townships of Morris County, and its riverside location at the junction of the Passaic and Pompton rivers, historically known as "Two Bridges" or "the Fork of Passaic," appears in Revolutionary War correspondence and was used as a wartime campsite. The borough was incorporated on March 11, 1922, formed from parts of Pequannock Township, and was named for President Abraham Lincoln.
