Liberty Township is a rural township in Warren County, New Jersey, in the northwestern part of the state. Incorporated on March 26, 1926, from portions of Hope Township, it covers about 11.9 square miles and has a population of roughly 2,670. The township's defining natural feature is Mountain Lake, a spring-fed lake that anchors much of Liberty's residential and recreational life.
